Choose Your Product Display at TFAW
There are three ways to display search results at TFAW. Once you try ‘em out and decide which one works for you, you’ll be able to search with ease. The first display option is “Text list,” which is perfect for those who just want to see the pertinent info like Title, Release Date and Price in a handy checklist-type display: If you’re a visual person, you’ll love “Cover image grid.” The cover is shown next to the Release Date, Publisher, and Price. This one’s pretty handy if you don’t like to scroll a lot. We tend to default to “Cover image grid” around the TFAW office. Finally, there’s “Text + covers,” which gives you all of the above info plus an brief description of the product. It’s the best way to learn a little about each product in your search query without having to click through to each and every product. Go ahead and do a search now and play with the settings in the Search Results box near the top of the page. It’ll be a fun little exercise.

Another Jewelry Display
Okay, so I might be having a little too much fun finding jewelry storage/display options. But I like this one. You might think it’s weird. You might think it’s creepy. But I think it’s lovely and graceful. And handy! It’s a hand/forearm-shaped jewelry display stand, perfect for your vanity countertop. If you’re a ring fanatic, this is perfect. The long, skinny fingers are just right for slipping on all the rings in your collection. Certain styles of earrings work well, too, as do delicate/lightweight bracelets and necklaces. And the thumb area, which is a little more sturdy, works well for more chunky pieces. I think it’s a little retro… a little Audrey Hepburn…a little whimsical. Here’s the link. Earring Display
It’s that time of year when I am thinking about how my Christmas craft stalls are going to look. This year, I have so many earrings that I need a bigger solution to what I had before. So I have created a giant version of my earring presentation cards. I have tried to keep them in themes, Christmas, Bridal etc and I still have more earrings, so will have to make another one.It is just an A4 piece of card folded in half and decorated. Then I lightly drew two lines and pierced along it in pairs. I will then be able to pencil on the prices and details. I’m not too worried about how sturdy it is, as long as it lasts through to Christmas! Next year I am going to invest in some real display equipment! Love Mrs Jones

Display URLs Going All Lowercase in Google AdWords
Google’s Inside AdWords blog today announced a decision that will impact most of you reading this that have a Google AdWords account: [W]e’ve decided to update the appearance of the display URLs of all ads that appear on search results pages in the next week or so. Following the change, the domain portion of your display URL will always be shown in lowercase letters. For example, if your display URL is Subdomain.Example.com/Subdirectory, it will appear as subdomain.example.com/Subdirectory. There’s no need for you to make any edits to your ads. All uppercase letters in your display URL domain will automatically be changed to lowercase when your ad is served. How AdWords Destination URL Changes Will Affect Click Through Rates We do a lot of testing around display urls, including capitalization, subdomains, directories, and hyphenation. Generally – though not always – strategic use performs better than not using it at all.

Xperia Arc Reality Display Comparison with iPhone Retina
The latest smartphone out of the Sony Ericsson camp is the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc which Sony Ericsson has bee hyping the smartphones Reality display, but how does Reality display compare with Retina display ? Well the guys over at Engadget just had to find out and have done a little image comparison between the Sony Ericsson Reality display and the iPhone 4 Retina display and just for fun also compared with the Motorola Droid X According to the article both the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc Reality display has the same resolution as the Motorola Droid X at 854 x 480 and compares reasonably well with the iPhone 4 Retina display. Apparently the noise behind the Arc’s Reality display the Bravia Engine something Sony says enhances detail and colour like on Bravia TV’s but apparently the engine can be switched off if required. Other than that not a great deal to add but no doubt these displays will get a little video comparison at some stage to see which can come out on top
