If I didn’t work around the corner from this adorable boutique Stainless Steel Earrings, I doubt I would’ve ever stumbled across it – and believe you me, I’m so glad it’s there Stainless Steel Bracelets! ?The employee discount definitely helps, but I’m sure I make up for that with how often I stop by the store.There’s a little something for everyone in the store – ?a great selection of the latest threads – dresses, jackets, hats, etc, little giftable items that’re perfect for the upcoming holiday season, some makeup and tons of gorgeous, sparkling jewelery. ?The prices are reasonable and the staff is wonderful; if you’re in the area I highly suggest checking them out!

I’m so pleased to see that every review for Prestige has 5 stars–however I can’t believe there are so few written! (Disclaimer: I don’t gush about many things… only the places that deserve it!)My fiance and I looked all over for an engagement ring we both loved. Everything we saw was cookie cutter and less than affordable. When we saw Prestige, at first I didn’t want to go in. The outside is not too impressive, and it seemed to be more of a pawn shop at first glance. My fiance convinced me to give it a try, and I can’t tell you how happy I am that he made us take a look inside.We were greeted by Phyllis, who was so warm and eager to help. She gave her opinion only when asked, but made it clear that no matter what, only my opinion was what mattered. Every other jeweler we went to was pushy and domineering, telling us what is a “good” value and what THEY think looks best on me. It was such a different experience at Prestige.After just a few minutes in the store, Bryan and I spotted the same beautiful ring in the case. As soon as I tried it on, we both knew this was it. It is unique, elegant pearl earrings, quality, and exactly what I was looking for… only better Pearl jewelry! Here’s the best part: It was super affordable! We saved a couple thousand dollars by buying from Prestige. We bought the wedding band here as well and I am DYING to start wearing it (only 4 days!). They resized my ring in just a couple hours after purchasing. When I came back, it was still too large, so Phyllis’ husband resized it one more time in about 20 minutes while we sat there and waited. Talk about great customer service!If you are looking for any kind of fine jewelry, please don’t bypass Prestige Jewelry!! Even if you don’t find what you’re looking for (which I bet you will), you’ll end up with a great and refreshing experience.
Wanted to update my review for Team Phyllis &Jeffrey. Since my original post, I have emailed and bugged Phyllis multiple times for quotes for custom work, and she has always been more than helpful, even if I don’t always purchase. I have now made 4 purchases with her, and plan to continue using Prestige as my go-to local jewelers.
Amazing! Phyllis does live up to all these great comments. She was helpful with a ring I took and took all my silver and gold. She even had amazing jewelry at amazing prices. Wish I would of came here for my fiances ring.
Fast, friendly, affordable. I recently got my ring appraised here and could not be happier with the service that I received. Everyone was friendly, and I was extremely happy that I did not have to leave my ring overnight for them to appraise it. While I was waiting for my ring, I got a chance to look around for some more jewelry. The person that I spoke with also mentioned that if I saw something in a magazine, they would also be able to make that piece. I certainly would like to come back to make a jewelry purchase in the future.

I don’t even know where to start with how helpful Phyllis is. I can call her, email even text her to get a price quote for what I want. So far, I have purchased rings, earrings and necklace pendents. And I am sure there will be more purchases in the near future.What I love most is being able to find random pictures online. Email it to Phyllis and she can give me a rough estimate of how much it would cost. If I like/love it, I can get it right away.Their prices are not just fair but at time cheaper then a lot of other places. Every time, when someone tells me they want a piece of jewelry, I would suggest for them to check our Prestige first. That’s for sure!
This store is fantastic! I’ve visited a few times previously to get rings re-sized, etc. I managed to crush part of a delicate gold necklace the other day, so I stopped by the store to see if they could even repair it. Lo and behold the helpful woman behind the counter skillfully bent it back into shop within minutes… FOR FREE! That’s some serious customer service! I will be back!
I searched far and wide to find a jeweler that didn’t have dollar signs in their eyeballs. I swear some of them I could actually see the forked tongue when they quoted me their outrageous prices. And you know I’ll take it personally when you try to steal my money. I was looking to have some stones set, as well as purchase an eternity band, and getting really frustrated.Saw Yelp’s reviews and went to Phyllis and I’m really glad I did. She dealt with my very detailed requests and custom made the eternity band with quality stones, and custom ordered settings for my stones. All at excellent prices – believe me fashion jewelry, I looked (boutique shops, local jewelers, national chains, downtown jewelry district). It’s really rare to find a business owner who actually understands that ripping off a customer is not good practice. Phyllis understands that giving a fair price coupled with exceptional service earns customer loyalty and word-of-mouth. I will definitely be going back for other purchases and recommending her to everyone!

They seemed to have pretty good prices and quality but a friend suggested I check this place out. small jewelers are the way to go! i’ve heard so many horror stories from friends who went to big, large chains. i went back to fix this problem i had with my ring: it kept spinning, as in the diamond part would keep spinning completely to the other side. my finger is weird because my knuckles are larger than the base of my finger. so, i took it in and they put two gold beads inside the ring. it has pretty much solved the problem. and in only 40 minutes. it also came back super sparkly and clean. i can’t wait to come back to pick out our wedding rings. prestige jewelry, i’m a fan! you’ll be hard-pressed to find jewelers who are friendlier, more accommodating, and offer better prices than these guys. they treat their customers with a ton of respect.

I always stipulate that I do not normally review businesses unless they truly exceed all expectations. This is one business that I find cause to praise. First and foremost, anyone who appreciates diamonds should appreciate Phyllis. She has the perfect “eye” for this business. She stands by every stone she sells and has the documents to back it up. She talks with you and gets an impression of you and your “taste” right off the bat. Phyllis has a sincerity about her that makes you feel comfortable in speaking about budget and gives you her honest assessment on the what cut, clarity and carat weight you can comfortably afford. And, if you are in search of a replacement diamond (which was my case), she will find a diamond that maybe even better than your first and can still fits within the range of your budget! She is expedient and efficient when dealing with insurance companies, which made my experience quite smooth. Once you narrow down your preferences in the shape of the diamond, she’ll go to work for you. She’ll look high and low to give you options… and of the options she gives you, you’ll be pleased with all of them and find it very hard to choose which one is the best. I feel charming it’s alarming how charming I feel!…in Tarina Tarantino accessories! ?Love the hair pins and clips which can also double as a clothing ornament/brooch on a V-neck top. ?Come here if you want things to sparkle I have very pretty hair flowers and pins that are colorful and lovely. Tarina Tarantino is for the child and also the princess inside you! ?I love the store and think it’s a great place to buy gifts as well. The accessories are so unique and original and so so pretty!
Got my ring in the mail after calling to see if it was ever going to come. It looks like new!!! Now i’m just afraid to wear it!!!Jerri in customer service was very nice and helped me out a lot. Trinkets, bling and jewels – OH MY! Though the boutique is rather small, it has so much to offer. I fell in love with Tarina Tarantino jewelry back when I was a style associate at Metropark; every week I’d be stocking something new, sparkly and colorful – it’s like being a big kid in a shimmering candy store.Some of their line is a little hit-or-miss for me: ?I don’t do large, gaudy jewelry and I’m not really a fan of the ostentatious. But the good news is that Tarina Tarantino carries a little bit of something for everyone – they have adorable charm bracelets and you can pick and choose the charms for yourself; their necklaces and earings are so freaking adorable that it’s a wonder I didn’t empty my bank account here. ?To top it off, they have adorable stocking stuffers – like a line of delicious smelling candles with completely made up scents!
This store is amazing! I couldn’t really afford mostly anything in here, but the sales girl was actually nice, and because of that I WANT TO GO BACK. ?They do have charms that range from 10-20 bucks though. So if you want one go get one or two or three. This place is so girly girl, it’s adorable, and the decor is beautiful. ?I say go and reward yourself with something pretty and nice here. I can’t wait to buy a necklace from here one day. ?Earrings are also very fair as well. ?Cute happy girly decor, like if Katy Perry and Hello Kitty got a sugar high and decorated. CHECK IT!
This is a place my sister recommended. ?While I was away from my girlfriend for a few days, I wanted to get her something to show that I was thinking of her.The staff seemed very cordial to everyone and I was treated with great respect by the sales lady who helped me. ?I found the perfect pair of handmade flower-shaped Swarovski crystal earrings here. ?My gf loves them because they are sparkly and complement her eyes, her hair, and her skin tone beautifully, as I knew they would. ?They are so beautiful on her, and she is even more beautiful wearing them. ?She loves the earrings so much that she wants me to take her to Tarina Tarantino over the Christmas holidays (she will be meeting my family for the first time!) so she can see the store for herself.

I am a huge fan of her designs and the store is so adorable. I always love driving by to see the new window displays. That said, the prices are quite exorbitant and I have never yet been able to justify shelling out the prices charged so I don’t own any Tarina Tarantino designs myself althought I would love to. What I really respect is her backstory, that she started from nothing, just from making jewelry with her own two hands and she grew it into the huge brand that it is now with no major initial investment, very inspiring!The real value in Tarantino designs in my opinion is the collaborations with the major brand names such as Hello Kitty and Barbie, its like getting two identifiable brands for the price of one.The store has great ambiance, especially great if you love pink….like me!
Tarina has a special sweet way of taking me back in time… when I would eagerly plink through my grandma’s costume jewelry box on holiday visits…adorning my arms and neck with all that sparkled…it’s as if she knew me then… sitting on the edge of the bed… Hello Kitty tee, scraped knees, tube socks and all… always a tomboy….but what little girl doesn’t love sparkle and shine?There are times I find myself reaching for all the little pink mesh bags that adorn the lining of the very same jewelry box that became mine after my grandma passed…and I squeal a little inside… remembering a time when all that mattered was my favorite Dolphin shorts fresh off the clothesline and everlasting innocence inside. Thank you, Tarina, for helping a 30ish girl sparkle and shine (inside and out) even when feeling blue. and yes, the shop on Melrose is indeed the best in LA.
So, here’s the thing….I cant help but love jewelry designer Tarina Tarantino’s flag ship store, yes, the whole “Melrose” area can be kind of a pain in the ass, yes, there will be little to no parking, and you’re probably going to have to deal with a few douche-y types, ?but, Tarina’s store is far enough down the hood that the douche factor isn’t too high. The store is STUNNING! SHUT UP SHUT UP! Its all pearly and pink and like a little candy covered treasure box, all the merchandising in the store is simply sinful, ethereal trees covered in plumes of purple fluff with sparkly, spangly, stunning hair ornaments hanging off the branches. Every Tarina piece, from every Tarina collection you could possibly imagine, cute little enclaves with toadstool like seating for you to try on glitter encrusted jewels to yours hearts content. Its no suprise to any of my friends that I frequent Tarina’s store, you can tell from looking at one of my shiny rings, or chunky necklaces that I’m more than just a little obsessed with he whimsical fantasmical store.Yes, Tarina’s wares are a little pricey, yeah, if you pile on too much you might look a little tacky, but I think all the risk is absolutely worth it to feel like a pretty pretty princess.
Throughout my whole childhood, never have I had any interest in big bold girly jewelry. That is… until I discovered Tarina Tarantino. By far, my most favorite accessories designer. She has a few themes, she got famous through her “pink head” series… not my favorite from the rest though. I personally like the Skulls and Queen Alice Collection… especially her rings and necklaces. My bf got me the hottest skull oval ring with swarovsky crystals for my birthday! =) Love it… As much as I liked Tarantino, I never actually knew the store was right in Hollywood! So glad I finally found it. Although most of her items might not be in the best quality (plastic/titanium sterling silver)… it’s just so yummy. Plus if it breaks, Tarantino store will fix it for you free of charge. so don’t feel TOO bad about spending $100+ on plastic. haha
This store is every girly-girl’s dream come true! It has a comprehensive, wonderfully-displayed selection of TT’s adorably fun, feminine and flirty accessories. Like a kid in a candy store, you’ll want to try on everything here. So, the best thing about this place is just how easy it is to see, touch and try on everything, and as much/often as you like. And, the SAs are super friendly and helpful, but not overbearing. This store is absolutely addicting, and gives Grandma’s jewelry box a run for its money!
LOVE LOVE LOVE Tarino Tarantino, and this shop was a virtual Mecca on Melrose after walking about 6 miles trying to find my way around L.A. on foot (I must get it from my dad). A welcome respite from the sun and traffic, but I haven’t even gotten started yet.I have been obsessed with Hello Kitty since the first time I went to FAO Schwarz in NYC as a kid. 21 years later and I’m more in love with HK and all things Sanrio now than then. I feel no shame in telling you that I spend a fair amount of my free time browsing http://dreamkitty.com and the online sanrio shop, lusting over the ever-growing selection of random Hello Kitty-kittery, and when I first saw Tarina Tarantino’s HK line I knew I just NEEDED some of the sparkly pink prettiness. I also told myself I’d probably never buy any of it because it’s so expensive for Hello Kitty jewelry and accessories. Well I put that thought to sleep when I literally walked past the boutique, did a double-take and almost squealed (ok, maybe I let out a little one) while doing a 180 and begging my friend to go in to the shop with me (she’s not a big Hello Kitty fan, but knows and supports my habit).For all the 5 or 10 minutes I spent in the store, looking exclusively at the Hello Kitty goodies–bracelets, necklaces with huge heart pendants graced with Hello Kitty’s perfectly one-dimensional face, glittery glam rings, pins, charms, earrings, and more–I was giddy and ?anxiously trying to decide on JUST the right thing. I decided on a super adorable ring Stainless Steel Necklaces, a mere $86 before tax (this is sarcasm here, ladies ‘n gents), and felt satiated and supremely girly.The girls working there were so friendly and totally into their jobs which made the purchase even better. I adore this boutique, and am still giddy from my exciting purchase–why did it feel so good to spend that much money on a rhinestone-encrusted ring???–love love love it!

(I asked “You won’t repair a necklace I paid $400 for?” nope.) All other items (if you purchased them through Sanrio or some other boutique) would have to be sent to the factory. Kind of an ewww.Tarina’s jewelry is beautiful, good quality, and does yank forcefully out the girly girl in you. You want to squeal and coo over every item. I am a huge fan of the Hello Kitty Pink Head Line. Beautiful stuff. ?GORGEOUS stuff. So full of color. Color is good for you.
